How do I subscribe to online play?

You may subscribe by going to the following web page Subscribe To Reel Deal Live Click Sign Up For Reel Deal Live and follow the instructions, including putting in the information for your credit card. You will not be charged for your first months subscription. After subscribing, launch the game, and input the email address and password that you subscribed with. NOTE: Do not click on the FREE account or you will not be able to access all of the online features. For instructions on subscribing, please click HERE.

I have subscribed, why am I getting the message when I click on a feature that it is for "subscribers only"?

If you clicked on the FREE Subscription, you will only get access to limited areas of the online Casino. You must subscribe to Reel Deal Live, including entering your name, address and a valid credit card. Your first month is free!!

What if two members of my house wish to play online at the same with each other?

If you have two pc's and two persons wish to play online at the same time, you will need two subscriptions to do so. This is because each screen name is unique to the account it is created on. You cannot be logged in more than once with an account.

Will my previous monthly downloads work in the above games?

Some will work, some will not. Be sure to check the compatibility of each slot before purchasing it. Some of the older slots are being converted for use in the newer games also. If you have an old version, you will need to download the newer one for Bonus Mania/Vegas Experience use.

Where will my monthly downloads be found in the game?

They will be in the area called Download Lobby and online in your slot listing. You can locate it on the Map, or in the first floor of the casino all the way to the left side. For offline play in Bonus Mania, click on the D and downloaded slots will be there. For offline in Vegas Experience, visit the Download Lobby.

I subscribed, why didn't I get the monthly download for free?

Your first free monthly download, will be the month following your subscription date. For instance if you subscribed on Oct. 2, your first free download will be the November slot. You can purchase the previous downloads (for Bonus/Vegas the first slot download is October 2005) and install them in the game.

I was prompted to download the monthly slot, but now I can't find it in my Download Lobby, what gives?

Due to the size of the monthly slot downloads, we may often break it up over 2-3 days and allow you to download part of it at a time. For instance, the first new slot to incorporate into Bonus Mania/Vegas, was the Haunter of the House slot. This was available in three parts, the first being Friday, the second being Saturday and the final part available on Sunday. On Monday, Oct. 3rd, this slot was unlocked and available to play. When the first of the month falls on a holiday or week end, the new monthly downloads will be available the following Monday (or Tuesday in the case of Monday holidays).

I won a Bonus Slot, now I can't find it?

During the course of game play, you may be awarded "bonus slots" by performing any number of tasks, from picking gems to buying a certain prize in the vault. These slots can be found at random locations on the gaming floor. However, the easiest way is to click the Slots tab in the lower right from the gaming floor. Your bonus slots will be listed with your other slot machines. And congratulations!!

I'd love to try some of the Table Games, but don't really know how to play them?

On the Menu in the upper left corner, click First Timers. Choose the game you'd like to learn and simple to follow instructions will guide you along.

How do I private chat in the above games?

To private chat, type /tell PLAYER NAME and your message, then hit enter. Or you can double click a persons name and the command will appear in the chat box, at which time you simply type your message and click enter. To respond to a private message, type /r and it will send your response to the last person who pm'd you. To get a list of all commands available, type /help

Are there other commands in the game I can use?

Yes there are a number of them, as shown above. Here is a brief description of those and others.

  • /help -Accesses the Help menu
  • /tell PLAYER -Sends private message to player Example: /tell Linda hi, how are you.
  • /r -Reply to a message you received Example: /r hey, I am fine.
  • /friend NAME -Adds a player to your friends list Example: /friend Linda
  • /ignore NAME -Adds a player to your ignore list Example: /ignore Linda
  • /page -Pages a Pit Boss
  • /bug [description] -Sends a bug report Example: /bug The bonus round is not working in Fairy Tales
  • /petition [description] -Sends in an idea or suggestion Example: /petition I would love to see the friends list hold more names.
  • /filter -Turns on or off the chat filter
  • /heartbeat -Turns on a small heart that shows server heartbeat packets
  • /fps -Shows your frames per second
  • /timer -Shows a timer for a tourney you are entered in. Enter tourney, highlight it, and type /timer in the lobby. Then when you go to a slot, or game, the timer will show in the upper right corner, telling you how long till that tourney.
  • /whois NAME -This will show you the icon, levels and bankrolls of any player. Example: /whois Linda
  • /afk -Use this command to place an "afk" (away from keyboard), by your name to let others know you are away. Type it again to remove it. Any private message you recieve in this mode is bounced back to the person sending it with a message that you are away.
  • /hall -Use this shortcut to go immediately to the first Hall of Challenges
  • /horizons - Use this shortcut to go to the Evolution of Horizons HOC
  • /createchat -Use this to createchat for any game, lobby or a private chat. See Below.

Hey, I was in a game, with the stats page on and got a pop up that says a Pit Boss wants me, what's up with that?

When you are in a game with the stats showing, and not the chat, you will not receive a private message from anyone. If a Pit Boss/Admin needs to speak with you, they can send you a "page". This is a box that pops up on your screen to alert you that you have a message.

What is and how do I "createchat"?

With "create chat" you can be in any game and participate in the chat in a different room, or create your own private chat room. For instructions on using it, please see the Createchat Tutorial.

What is an admin?

Admins are what we call "Pit Bosses" and are there to assist you in the game with questions you may have.

How do I apply to become an admin?

You may submit an application and will be notified if there are openings or more information is needed.

Concerning the Prize Vault...do I have to play every game for 20 minutes to light up that area on the scroll?

You only have to play the slots in Bonus Mania for 20 minutes each. In addition, to qualify for the 25 hours of game-play, it must be done on the Bonus Mania slots.

Does my real world cash and dream world cash qualify me for the 10 million needed for the Scroll of Herculean Tasks?

Both amounts are combined to qualify you for the completion of the 10 million.

Why can't I see all the slots everyone else is seeing?

If you do not have both games installed, you will only see the slots you have on your game. For instance, if you do not have Bonus Mania, you will only see the slots from Vegas, and vice versa. This applies to Tournaments also. You will only see the tournaments on the games/slots you have.

Why can't I see the slot tournaments everyone else is talking about?

See Above.

How do I know what level I am at and how far till the next level?

Click the i key and a box will open to show you your level progression. Be sure the cursor is not blinking in the chat window first. Or type /whois yourname.

What do I get when I "level" up?

When you "level up" you may receive any number of awards. Each time you "level up" check your in-game email and see what you have been "comped" from the Phantom EFX Casino! Certain levels will award you additional VIP points. Some levels will open up new stores in the Mall for you to shop at. And when you get to level 10, you will be awarded a mini-suite to start furnishing!! We want you to be surprised at what you get for each new level, so we don't want to tell you every detail of the levels :) But the major happenings in the first few levels are below:

  • Level 3: Opens the I've Been Framed shop in the mall where you can purchase a frame.
  • Level 5: You can now enter and view other's suites. And On Golden Pawn is now open for you to buy Lotto tickets
  • Level 10: Congratulations, you now have a suite. Check your email, and then click the Suite Icon on the gaming floor to get your suite number. Then visit the Mall and furnish it at Superior Interior.
  • Level 11: Congratulations, you can now play the Challenge of the Mystic Stones!!
  • Level 13: Challenge of the Enchanted Slots
  • Level 15: Challenge of the Recondite Stones
  • Level 17: Challenge of the Charmed Slots
  • Level 18: Opens the Play With It Store
  • Level 20: The amount you can bet increases.
  • Level 27-30: You can purchase larger suites.

How do I play in an online Tournament?

It's easy, and oh so much fun!! Simply click on the Tournaments tab on the lower right if you are on the Gaming Floor. Then choose, Slots, Table Games or Poker. Check out the tourneys that say "Open" beside them. Note that when you highlight a tourney, information about the tourney will show in the right hand window, including the start time in your time zone. To enter, simply click, Enter Tourney. The entry fee is then deducted from your bankroll. You will then see "Entered" under the Status column of the tourney. (Note: You can only enter one tourney at a time.)

And you don't even have to sit and wait for it to begin!! You can go and play anywhere in the Casino, and when the tourney begins, a box will pop up that says "Forfeit" or "Go Now". Cick "Go Now" and it will take you to the tourney automatically! You will see a timer counting down and when it reaches 0, start playing! You can watch the rankings by clicking on the Rank button on the machine, or Info on a Table game tournament.

Note that some tournaments are Dream World Cash, and some Real World. In addition, they are color coded to make it easy for you to tell them apart. To leave a tourney, click the Leave Tourney button, and your buy in will be refunded.

I got a pop up box after placing in a tournament that awarded me Gems, what do I do with them?

Save them!! Placing in a tournament awards randomly colored Gems that will be useful down the road for you when you complete the various Hall of Challenges!!

How do I correct a bet I made in a Table Game?

To correct a bet made before the Deal, simply click Reset, which is located next to your chip amounts on the lower right side of your screen. See Below.

I was playing a slot and lost connection. What happens to the credits I had in the machine?

If you lose connection while playing a slot, when you log in again, you will receive a server message that your credits have been refunded. Note that any credits you may have been accumulating during a bonus round will not be awarded. Only those you have "banked" already.

How do I add Friends to my Friends List?

To add friends to your friends list, type /friends PLAYER NAME You will see the message that XXXX has been added to your friends list.

How do I add my own Icon in the game?

To add a custom icon to your player frame, please follow the instructions below:

  1. First locate the picture or avatar you wish to use. If it is on the internet, right click on it, choose save as, and save it to a directory (folder) on your pc.
  2. Then open your photo editing program (Photoshop, Paint, or whatever program you use).
  3. Open the file, and resize it to 64 x 64 pixels. You may want to crop out unwanted areas around the picture before you resize it, so that the icon is larger and more visible.
  4. After you have sized it, save it as jpg or .bmp. (I recommend saving them as jpgs because they are clearer) Be sure that there are no capital letters or spaces in your file name.
  5. Then open Windows Explorer, locate the jpg/bmp that you resized, and drag and drop (or copy and paste) it into the C:\Program Files\Phantom EFX\OnlineCasino\Gfx\Icons directory.
  6. Then log into the game, scroll through the choices of pictures until you find it. Click on it and it should appear in your frame.

How can I see other player's icons?

To see other player's icons, stats and levels, in the chat box type /whois playername Example: /whois Linda This will bring up their player box showing their icon, level, bankrolls Etc.

I bought a frame in the Frame store but its not showing up in my Frame manager?

Sometimes you will need to log off and come back to see the frame you have purchased. You can have any number of frames and change them when you wish in the Frames Manager.

What are "badges" and how do I get them?

Badges are awards that are sent to you for any number of special things you have done. A special jackpot, a win, a top prize on a slot....any number of "surprise" things. If you are awarded a badge, you will receive an in-game email notifying you. You can then add the badge to your player frame by adding it to a "badge holder". To do this, go to the Player Manager, then Frames Manager. Click your badge, then click the badge holder you wish to add it to.

Ok, that explains that.....where do I get "badge holders"?

Badge holders are purchased in the Frame Store in the Mall, at the same time you buy a frame. You cannot add badge holders to a frame you already own. You must purchase them at the time you purchase a frame. You can view available badges here. More are being added all the time!!

Where is the Prize Vault in the online games?

Online only Bonus Mania has a Prize Vault. To find it, from the gaming floor, take the elevator to Slot Floor. Then scroll down to the bottom left of the slot floor, and note the Prize Vault under one of the archways.

What is the Hall of Challenges and where do I find it?

The Hall of Challenges can be found in the Download Lobby. To locate it, from the main casino floor, scroll to the left side of the casino screen. Or click on Map, the click Download Lobby. The Hall of Challenges allows you to complete certain challenges, and after doing so attain special prizes and powers. You must be level 11 or above to access the HOC. When eligible you will receive an in-game email with instructions on what to do and how to do it. More challenges are constantly being added to the game!!

How do I report a bug in the above games?

Email support@phantomefx.com or while in the game, type /bug and enter a description of the bug and the game it is in.

When I launch the game, I am getting a message that says "No Internet Connection" yet I am online and connected to my ISP?

If you are getting the message that there is no internet connection, one of two things is happening.

Either the server is down for an update (these usually take about 20-30 minutes to bring the servers back up), or something on your pc is preventing you from connecting to our server.

Some suggestions:

Try shutting down (not just disabling) your firewalls, including the built in XP firewall. Your modem, router and often even your ISP may have built in firewalls. If your router needs to have a port opened to access the game, then open port 2302.

To disable Windows XP firewall: Go to Start, Settings, Network Connections. Choose your internet connection, and a box will then open. Click Properties, then the Advanced tab. Uncheck the box that says Internet Connection Firewall. Click OK.

If you use a router:

  1. Go to Start, Run, type in cmd, click ok
  2. In the DOS screen type in ipconfig When your IP number shows, jot it down.
  3. Next go into the Advanced set up menu for your router, set the DMZ to ON. Be sure your full IP address is typed in there.
  4. Save all settings, reboot your pc and relaunch the game.
  5. If you have programs such as pop up blockers, music match, spyware scanning, etc, make sure they are shut down also. Other programs that interfere with online connection are the Google Toolbar and the Yahoo Toolbar.
  6. If you are running a home network, and using one IP for multiple pc's, try shutting down all but the one you have the game on, and see if you can then connect.
  7. If you are using a wireless connection, try connecting your pc/laptop directly into your internet connection to download the updates. You may then be able to use your wireless connection.
  8. If you are using a two-wire DSL modem, click on your 2Wire icon on the taskbar, click on Home network and Internet, click on the firewall (lock) icon. then Advance Settings, to your right will be the word Instructions, At the bottom you will see Miscellaneous, uncheck it and click Save. Now try to log in.
  9. Finally, check your virtual memory settings and if needed, reset it to 1536. To do this, go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, System. Click the Advanced tab, then under Performance, click Settings. Then click Advanced, and check Virtual Memory. If it is anything smaller than 1536, click Change and reset it.

If none of these work, then you might try uninstalling the games and reinstalling.

When you do, be sure that:

  • Your virus software it turned OFF, not just disabled.
  • If using WIN XP, you must be logged on as an administrator.
  • After installing, reboot your pc before trying to launch the game.

I have two pc's and two subscriptions, and when I try to connect them both at the same time, one gets kicked off as soon as the other one signs on. What can I do to fix this?

The game uses DirectPlay to connect to the internet, however, certain routers do not allow two DirectPlay connections to be active at once.

We have found that if you disable uPnP on your router this should fix the problem and you should both be able to connect. Let me know if that doesn't work for you.

You would need to have each pc log in using a different port. Depending on your router, you may need to set each pc's internal IP to a different port also. Port 2302 uses port 1, port 2303 uses port 2, 2304, uses port 3, and 2305 uses port 4, on the log in screen. Refer to your router documentation for instructions on disabling uPnP, and forwarding the proper ports.

General Information

Will my downloads work with previous games?

No, the downloads will not work with any games prior to Bonus Mania. They will, however, work in Bonus Mania, Vegas Experience, Mystic Forest and High Rollers.  They will also work in the free Download Lobby.

Can I get my download slots sent to me on a CD for backup purposes.

Yes, during the order process you will be asked if you would like to have your downloads sent to you on CD. Select this option and we will send you a CD containing all of your purchased downloads.

What happens if I didn?t purchase a backup CD and I lost my download slots on my computer?

Simply login to the Phantom Store using your account you created, and view your purchase history. Find the particular download machine you lost and click on the link to re-download it to your computer. For security purposes, you are allowed only 2 downloads after the initial purchase download.

Do I need to download the Lobby in order to play these games?

If you want to play the games Stand Alone or if you want to play them without purchasing our newest slot title, yes you will need to download and install the Lobby setup.

I have downloaded the slots to my computer. How do I get them to work?

Simply double click on the setup file on your computer and follow the onscreen instructions. You must have the Downloads Lobby installed or have any slot title later than Reel Deal Bonus mania to play the individual downloads.

I downloaded a new slot and am confused about how to install it. It says I need files that are in a game I don't have?

The downloads will not work with any games prior to Bonus Mania. They will, however, work in Bonus Mania, Vegas Experience, Mystic Forest and High Rollers.  They will also work in the free Download Lobby.

After downloading the slot, run the .exe for it. Follow the prompts to install.  It will automatically be installed into any compatible game you have installed on your pc.

Will the cash and VIP points I accumulate while playing the stand alone version of the download slots carry over into your new full slot titles?

No, none of the accumulated cash or VIP points will transfer into any new title. However, all of the download slot games played within our full slot titles will award you cash and VIP points.

How do I save my player file in the event I have to reformat my pc or get a new pc?

You can save the progress for all of your games by saving the files in your saved games folder for each game. It should be C:\program file\Phantom or Phantom EFX\SavedGames. Just take the info from there and put it into the new computers saved games folder after you install. Make sure you put the right player file into the right game.

My screen flickers when I try to play one of the games, how do I stop this?

If your display drivers are current, a program that you have installed is most likely the culprit. We have found that programs like MusicMatch, Napster, Kazaa can interfere with the game. Try shutting down all unnecessary programs in your Windows Task Manager, one at a time, until you find which one is causing the screen to flicker.

How do I use the MP3 Player in the games?

Locate your mp3's where you have saved them on your pc. Drag and drop, or copy them, and place them in C:\Program Files\Phantom EFX\OnlineCasino\MP3s You may have to rename the file so it has no spaces.

How come I get an error message during installation saying: The software you are about to install does not contain a Microsoft

digital signature. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this software works correctly with windows?

This message has to do with a "codec" that is being installed. This message is simply telling you that this "codec" has not been tested and verified by Microsoft to work with windows. This "codec" was tested internally on several platforms and no problems occured. This "codec" is simply used to playback movie files that we have in the program, it has not other purpose or adverse effect on your system. Simply agree to the installation message and finish the install.

Alternately, you can opt to download Windows Media Player 9.0 and this same codec will be installed as a part of the Media Player installation.

When I hit the Install button, why does my computer freeze or stop responding?

This seems to be a common issue related to the CD installer and your Anti-Virus software. McAfee and Norton Anti-Virus companies both recommend to turn off any Anti-Virus programs before installing the game. Right click on your Anti-Virus icon in your taskbar (down by your computer clock) and click on disable, then install the game.

When I launch the game, why do I get a Sound Init Failed error message?

This error message means that DirectX was not able to initialize your sound card. The most common fix for this is to reinstall DirectX and make sure you restart your computer before launching the game. You can browse the game CD to find the DirectX installer, or you can download the DirectX installer from Microsofts web site.

When I launch the game, why does my screen turn black and go back to my desktop?

There are a few reasons this may be happening. First, your display setting may not be at least 800x600 pixels and a color depth of 16 bit. To check this, right click on your desktop and select properties. Click on the settings tab at the top and adjust the Screen Area slider to be at least 800x600 pixels.

Second, your hardware acceleration may not be set to full. To check this, right click on your desktop and select properties. Click on the settings tab at the top and then click on the advanced button. Then click on the troubleshooting tab at the top and make sure the slider for Hardware Acceleration is all the way to the right on Full.

Finally, make sure that you have the most recent video card drivers for your machine.
