Due to recent Microsoft security updates Phantom EFX has been required to update their C++ library. This may cause problems to customers who do not have the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update installed on their computer. This update can sometimes be installed through a Windows Update or through the Microsoft website. Without this update you will receive an error message "Application has failed to start". Below are instructions on how to install this update from Microsoft’s website. These instructions are the same for 32 and 64 bit operating systems. 

  1. Click on the link provided.

  2. Click on the button outlined in blue below named "Download files below"

  4. Click "Run" on Internet Explorer or click "Save File" on Firefox 

  5. Once download is complete click "Run" again or double click on the file named vcredist_86.exe in the download manager for Firefox 

  6. Click Yes on the Terms of Use to start the installation

  7. Once installation is complete the installer will close out automatically.

  8. You can now start up Reel Deal Live either by going back to the update launcher and clicking Play or by clicking on the desktop icon for Reel Deal Live.
